How to create an e-commerce store on Blogger

Comment créer une boutique e-commerce en ligne sur Blogger

Build an online store can be quite tricky work for all . However, with some eCommerce plugins, we can transform our blog into a fully flourishing e-commerce site. However, there are countless models of Blogger eCommerce available on the Internet, but how do we convert our Blogger into a fully functional ecommerce site? Today, in this tutorial, I show you how to create an online eCommerce store on Blogger.

You can sell almost anything on your Blogger site, but the product you are selling must be linked to your blog. If you have written an e-book, you can make that e-book available through your e-commerce compatible blog. Blogger can also sell T-shirts, jewelry, skin products and almost anything that is legal to sell.

How to create an e-commerce store on Blogger

To create an online store to Blogger, I use a plugin called ECWID. It is a free e-commerce and shop solution that helps you convert your existing blog into a fully functional e-commerce store.

First, you need to register an account with ECWID.com. If you have a Facebook, Google or Paypal account, you can opt for these services to register quickly.

Step 1: Add a product

enregistré un compte Ecwid

After registering an account, you will be able to access the Ecwid Control Panel, you can add your first product.

Select the "Add Products" button from the main menu and go to the next step.

Add product names, prices and images. You can use "More powerful options" to add more details to your product, such as category, description, color and etc.
After adding your product, tap Save.

Your product has been successfully added, just click on the button Go to the next Step

.

The demo catalog helps you explore the capabilities of Ecwid with visual examples. Delete the demo catalog as soon as you have uploaded your products and photos.

Step 2: Create a store

After deleting the demo catalog, it's time to post your product to your Blogger store. Just select "Create a store" from the main menu.

Select the "Yes, I have a site" button and go to the next step.

Now you have to choose the platform you used to build your site because you are using Blogger not listed in the available platforms. Select "Other platform".

Ecwid offers four different eCommerce widgets that can be added to your store: Product browser, categories, mini-cart and search box.

Product browser: it displays the full range of products that you have added to the product catalog, this widget is extremely essential for your shop to be operational, while other widgets are just optional.
Categories: This widget will display a full list of categories in your store.
Mini-basket: it will add a mini-basket to your shop. Adding it to the menu will help users to perform checks.
Search box: this will help users to search for different products on your store.

Now you will be able to see the embed code for four different widgets listed above. Copy the code and paste the code on the page where you want the widget to appear. Save and refresh the page.

To add a product browser to Blogger, copy the product browser integration code and go to Blogger.com >> Add new page. Now switch to HTML mode and paste the code you copied earlier. Name the page as "Store" and press the Publish button.

That's it, now you can add more products to your store. Any product added to the product catalog will automatically appear in the product browser in your store.

Step 3: Configuration Payment method:

Ecwid also supports popular payment platforms like PayPal, Authorize.Net and Stripe. You can select the most appropriate way to collect payments from your customers, including checks, cash payments, credit cards.

Select "Get paid" from the main menu.

If you want to use PayPal to collect payments from your customers select "Paid with PayPal" and enter your valid PayPal email address. Likewise, you can also use Stripe, if you have a stripe account.

You can now configure the shipping methods by selecting "Configure Shipping" from the main menu. If you sell digital products, you can simply deactivate the shipping of the products. If you are selling physical products, you can simply follow the instructions to configure the shipping methods
